Jung E depicts a desolated Earth in the 22nd century that is no longer habitable due to climate change, forcing humans to live in man-made space shelters. As humans began to settle in approximately 80 of those shelters, shelters No. 8, 12, and 13 declared themselves the Adrian Republic and began attacking Earth and other shelters, resulting in a civil war between the Allied Force and the Adrian Republic.
