When we see the camera tracking towards a TV journalist who has to question a
police officer about the murder of a child at the crime scene, we know
Butterfly is a bad film. It's a routine scene that we've seen a million times
before. In this scene, the extras playing journalists pause for two seconds to
allow the camera to move closer before beginning to deliver their lines. It is
clear that it is poorly staged and acted. These are characteristics that can
be applied to the entire Butterfly.
